| I put harness on Asia, and she is loving it! | | Asia is growing so fast. Every time she sees Duchess at the porch, she will never stop meowing. She wants to go out, too. But, I want her to be indoor kitty. Last Sunday, we bought her her harness, so she can go out. But when I put the harness on her, there she goes. She went crazy and wants to go anywhere. She loves the grass, the birds, the bees and mosquitoes, hahaha... she loves chasing them.Have you ever tried putting harness on your kitty or dog? How did they deal with the harness? | |
| | new ways to harness energy | | we've heard of solar panels and turbines (wind, hydro)...it is interesting that, facing the new needs of the times, there are prototypes of new ways to harness wind, solar, sea wave and even human energy. http://www.enn.com/top_stories/article/30814 shows a knee-strapped device that generates small amount of power for portable devices.other ideas found on the internet include:
- vehicle braking system that generates electricity from what used to dissipate as heat
- a prototype of what looks like a mirrored skark tail as a mechanical drive to harness energy from sea-bed water current.
- stationary bike or treadmill with a high efficiency generator.Perhaps one day, there will be more technology within reach of empoverished people so they can cogenerate power and earn income ...any comments?

| best harness | | I have an American Pit Bull Terrier and I have been training him on a leash. He does really good for the most part, every now and then something may run by and he'll get excited but not often. I recently purchased a harness leash thinking it would give me more control during our walks. and maybe its just me but it seems like he pulls a lot more now. My dog is muscular and fit so for me to be tugging and pulling is a real workout. Does anyone have any suggestions for taming his need to drag me like a sled? | |
| | Improvised Harness/Walker | | Hi moms. My son is 15 months old today and still unable to walk on his own. My daughter was 11 months when she started walking on her own. Few weeks ago my mother-in-law improvised a harness/walker for my son which I use to train him walking everyday. It is such a big help to me too because I don't need to bend whenever I lead him walk. So that saves me from backache. I had one like this before which I used for my daughter. I bought it in a shop in Manila but this one is much better. Have a look at the photo hereto attached. Did you also used the same thing when your child started walking? What can you say about this improvised harness/walker? | |

| Do you use a harness on your dog? | | We have a very small dog and once we start taking her for walks, I intend on using a harness leash for her. I'm not sure what the difference in using a collar type leash, and a harness leash is. Is it better for the smaller dogs to have the harness? I really don't have a preference. My mother in law gave me the harness that is too small for her dog, so that's really the only reason why I would use it.
If anyone can offer insight, that would be great.
| | Bird Harness?? | | http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Bird-Harness-Suit-Budgee-OR-Cockatiel_W0QQitemZ200116087105QQihZ010QQcategoryZ20735QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I found this on Ebay. It was actually one of the ads up the top of the mylot screen so i thought i'd check it out. i don't know, but this seems a bit cruel. I figured that the bird in the picture is plastic. It says in the item description "now you can take your bird for a walk!" Um, I don't think birds like to go for 'walks'.
This is stupid. | |
